Floor · Underbelly Insulation
Torn belly wrap, soaked insulation and leaking ducts, repaired as one job
The part of a manufactured home nobody sees until the cooling bill climbs. Ariston patches or replaces the wrap, swaps wet insulation and seals the ducts.
The belly wrap tears, and the whole floor system goes with it
Under a manufactured home a fabric barrier is stretched across the chassis. It holds the floor insulation up and keeps the ductwork dry, and it fails as a system. A dragging branch, a plumber who cut it open and never patched it, or plain age in Valley heat tears the wrap. Then the insulation above it sags, soaks up humidity and stops insulating, and rodents find the opening within a season.
Ducts are the costly part. Supply runs on most manufactured homes pass through the belly, and disconnected or split ducts are extremely common. Conditioned air dumped into the crawl space is the most expensive fault found down there, and in a Rio Grande Valley summer the system runs most of the day.
You may notice a floor that is cold in one room and warm in another, a cooling system that runs longer for the same result, movement under the floor at night, or fabric hanging below the skirting. Any of those is worth a look.

Wrap, insulation and ducts are assessed together
Ariston quotes the wrap, the insulation and the ductwork as one job, because fixing one and leaving the others is how owners pay twice. Small tears are patched with rated material and taped so the seal holds against the airflow in the cavity. Where the wrap has failed across a large area, or has been cut open repeatedly for plumbing, the run is replaced rather than patched into a quilt that opens again next year.
Insulation that has been wet is finished, whatever it looks like from below. The crew pulls the sodden material out, lets the cavity dry, inspects it, and installs new insulation at the correct depth, secured so it does not sag back onto the wrap. Ducts are reconnected, sealed and supported so the air reaches the room it was paid for. Rodent entry points at the chassis and skirting are closed, and where the site calls for it a vapor barrier goes on the ground and the drainage is corrected.
You see what you paid for: the crew photographs the cavity and the damage, and Ariston gives you a written, itemized quote that lists the repair and the material before work starts.
What to expect afterward, and when to look again
Fixing the ducts and the wet insulation at the same time is what produces the change owners notice in the electric bill, because wet insulation does very little and a leaking duct means the system is cooling the crawl space. A repaired belly stays that way only if nothing opens it again, so ask any other trade to reseal around lines they disturb. Ariston reseals properly around lines and penetrations after any access work.
Look at the skirting and the fabric below it after a storm or a flood season, and again if you hear scratching.
